Marriott Birmingham Grandview Hotel, Birmingham

My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were not ready upon my arrival, and there was a mix-up with room assignments, but the internet connection was good. The service, however, was exceptional, especially after a rough travel day, as the staff was friendly and refunded my money, wishing me a safe journey. The location was convenient, near shopping areas and various restaurant options, including close to the Grandview Hospital. Despite some aesthetic shortcomings, the facility was up to date and situated in a nice area. The dining experience left much to be desired with limited options and high costs, but the homemade muffins were a highlight. The hotel forgot to fix a bathroom plug, and the indoor pool was uncomfortably hot, resembling a steam room. In general, the food was overpriced, and the lack of extra blankets and coffee restrictions were inconvenient. Overall, the hotel seemed promising but fell short in several areas.
